Overlooking the picturesque vineyard, and with indoor and outdoor seating, our licensed café is the perfect place to stop for a light bite or hearty meal at any time of year.
We serve delicious homemade food using vegetables grown at our skills centre in Barham and produce from local suppliers. We are open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Gift vouchers are available to give as a special treat.
During the week, The Fifth Trust students work alongside staff helping to prepare meals and serve customers.
At our skills centre Cook Club, they make our chutneys and jams and bake cakes and biscuits for sale. The café also serves as a showcase for students’ artistic creations including ceramics, needlework and greetings cards.
All profits from the café go towards providing the best possible quality and breadth of activities and services for our students.
Elham Valley Vineyard Wines
The reputation of English wines grows stronger year on year, with major wine producers now planting vineyards across Kent.
Elham Valley Vineyard is one of the oldest established in east Kent. Originally cultivated in the early 1980s, and replanted in 2011, the vineyard has in recent years produced excellent quality still and sparkling wines from Pinot Noir, Bacchus and Seyval Blanc varieties that can be purchased from our café and garden centre.
With the opening of winemaker Defined Wines in Bridge, our wine’s journey from vine to bottle is now less than five miles.
